WIP 12.01.09

I have 3 quilts to make, start to finish, by Christmas Eve. I am taking a 2-day class this weekend on machine quilting techniques. I am going to be very busy each evening!

I finished piecing #1 tonight:

I am using parts of 2 Rouenneries by French General charm packs as the accent in each square. This has gone together very fast, it is approximately 55" x 66". I need to get a piece for backing, then pin and quilt! I will post detail shots once it is finished.

I do not yet know what my next 2 will be. One day at a time, one quilt at a time!

Would it be OK to creat a quilt that is variation. It would be for my own entertainment.

Of course! The small accent squares are 5" charms, the solids are 1-5" square + 1- 5" x 10" strip, the dark sashing is 2.5" wide strips. I placed this 5 squares by 6 squares. This went together very quickly! I am free-motion quilting it and am about a third of the way thru. Please email a photo, I would love to see it!
