So I made another map quilt. This one in batiks. For my brother.
Straight line quilting all over the states, with various free-motion motifs in the background.
States are 50 different batik fabrics, background is Moda cross weave. Free motion quilted by me on my Baby Lock Tiara with a variety of threads.

I want to make a map quilt so bad! Did you use a particular pattern?
Hi! I enlarged a map at Staples. Then I used that as my pattern for the states. I used scraps and fused the states in place.
